College Park is a charming, historic Orlando neighborhood home to charming Craftsman-style bungalows and cottage-style homes. This area was claimed by settlers back in the 1800s; since then, it has grown to be one of the most popular residential and commercial locations in all of Orlando. College Park acquired its name from the streets within it, named after such prestigious Ivy League institutions as Princeton, Yale, and Harvard, and is frequently called one of the best places to live in Central Florida.

College Park residents get the luxury of a small-town feel with an ultra-quick commute to Downtown Orlando since this growing community offers easy access to highways and public transportation routes. Due to its proximity to Downtown Orlando, this community is typically home to many young professionals and families. College Park has everything you need, from top-rated schools to beautiful parks and entertainment for the whole family.

Families should note some of the quality schools in the area, including multiple private Catholic and prep schools in addition to the public school system. There are also many great opportunities in the community that keep the kids involved and create quality family time, such as taking classes at the Dubsdread Golf Course or swimming lessons at the College Park Community Center and the College Park Pool.
The city of Orlando has recently made this community even more navigable by making the streets of College Park pedestrian- and bike-friendly. This allows College Park’s most popular intersection — Edgewater and Princeton — to be a more comfortable, walkable experience. This intersection is where you can find locals out and about on a typical night, enjoying all of the dining, nightlife, shopping, and entertainment that College Park has to offer.

Along with some of Orlando’s best entertainment, this community is home to stunning lakes. Lake Ivanhoe, in particular, offers an array of outdoor recreation for College Park residents, such as wakeboarding, water skiing, and a view of the gorgeous skyline. Albert Park is a great place to take the family for a day of outdoor fun in the sun, and Main Street provides the community with tons of opportunities to be involved in annual seasonal events, such as “Holiday on the Drive.” With all that College Park offers, it’s no wonder this is one of Orlando’s most popular neighborhoods.
