Throughout her career in news, Yglesias has distinguished herself as an influential and credible journalist serving the community at the local and national level. Her work has taken her to be nominated four times to the Lone Star Emmy Awards. In 2018, Janel Yglesias won the Sylvan Rodriguez 'Best Houston Reporter Award'.
